Empire Park is nestled in the foothills of the Barrington Ranges, 32km from Maitland and 18km from Dungog. Lees Racing decided in 2001 to establish a small agistment property within 1 hour of its Broadmeadow base. The property is set on 300acres and was a former dairy farm that had all pasture improved acres needed for racing stock to rest and grow. The property was completely transformed into spelling paddocks from ¼ acre to 40 acres, with all paddocks completed with safety fencing, electricity and underground irrigation. The property is continuing to develop with horse walking machines and new stable block under construction. The close proximity to the training base at Broadmeadow allows for quick and easy transportation. Due to its close proximity to Newcastle and only 2 hours from Sydney, it allows Kris to make frequent farm visit to check on progress of all his horses. Empire Park primary function is to offer complete spelling support to Lees Racing and ensure all horses are provided with a complete feeding program, quiet environment and cost effective alternative for its clients. Farm visit are welcome and can be arranged by contacting farm manager, Warwick Miller on 0429956089. |
